Meridian balls set of 2 - Yin Yang Tai Chi - 3.5 cm - size S - Grey

Meridian balls are two balls that you rotate together in one palm of your hand. Emperor Jia Jing had their effect investigated in the sixteenth century. In traditional Chinese teaching, life energy (qi) flows through channels called meridians; the palms of the hands contain points that are stimulated as the balls rotate.

You build up the technique step by step. You start with the smaller balls and rotate them both clockwise and anticlockwise, changing the direction regularly. Once that goes well, try rotating them without letting them touch each other. After that, larger balls are a logical next step, with which you learn to rotate right down to your fingertips. Over time, your hands and fingers become more flexible.

Inside each ball is a mechanism that creates a soft vibration through the movement in your hands. The balls are made of chrome-plated steel and are easy to maintain. If you don't use them for a while, wipe a small amount of oil or chrome polish over the surface with a dry cloth to prevent rust.

The set comes in a padded box with Chinese silk embroidery, supplied in a red, blue, green or black box.
