Jewel Effects is a mono eyeshadow with a glitter effect in gold. The product has a powder texture that sits between a compact glitter powder and loose glitter pigments, which makes it easier to apply than loose glitter.
You decide how intense the effect is. With an eyeshadow brush, you apply a subtle layer; by picking up more product, you get a fuller glitter look. That way, the same shade can be worn during the day and in the evening.
For a more concentrated result, mix the powder with a mixing agent such as Seal It, or first apply a layer of 2-Way gel to the desired spot and press the powder onto it. This fixation deepens the colour and keeps the glitter in place. The make-up artists at Make-Up Studio Amsterdam work with a damp brush dabbed into the powder.
The formula is vegan and contains calcium sodium borosilicate with the colourants CI 77820 and CI 77861.
