The Apple iPhone SE (2022) is a smartphone with a 4.7 inch IPS-LCD screen and a resolution of 1334 x 750 pixels. The housing is aluminium and the device has IP67 certification: fully dustproof and immersion-proof. The device is not intended for underwater use.
Unlocking is done with Touch ID in the home button. This model does not have face recognition. Apple states that the iPhone SE has the same A15 Bionic chip as the iPhone 13. The processor has a hexa-core configuration and is complemented by 4 GB of RAM. The storage capacity is 64 GB; there is no memory card slot.
On the back is a single 12 megapixel camera with an f/1.8 aperture, a standard lens, optical image stabilisation and a flash. The front camera is 7 megapixel. According to Apple, Deep Fusion and portrait mode work together with the chip on image processing.
The device connects via 5G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC and GPS with A-GPS. The battery has a capacity of 1821 mAh and charges wirelessly or via the Lightning port, with a charging power of 5 to 20 W. Apple states it will provide at least 60 months of software support after the launch in March 2022, with monthly security updates.
