About this product longer description
The Ugreen US316 (70429) connects two USB-C ports and handles both power and data transfer for laptops, tablets and smartphones. Both ends have a USB-C male connector.
Via Power Delivery 3.0, up to 100W runs through the cable, with a current of 5A. This makes it suitable for high-power chargers and devices such as MacBook models, iPad Pro and modern USB-C laptops and smartphones. Data transfers over the cable at speeds up to 480 Mbps, so you can also sync connected devices.
The exterior is made of braided nylon and the connector housings are anodised metal, both aimed at resisting wear. Both ends have a moulded rubber strain relief, the point where a cable normally kinks or breaks first. There's also built-in protection against short circuits.
With a length of 2 metres, you can bridge the distance between the socket and your desk or sofa.

Can I charge a laptop with this?
The cable delivers up to 100W via Power Delivery 3.0, with a current of 5A. Ugreen lists MacBook models, iPad Pro and modern USB-C laptops and smartphones as suitable devices. You'll also need a charger that can deliver that power.
How fast is data transfer over this cable?
The data speed is up to 480 Mbps. This lets you sync connected devices and transfer files.
What connectors does the cable have?
Both ends have a USB-C male connector. So it's a USB-C to USB-C cable; both devices need a USB-C port.
Why does the cable have rubber at the connectors?
That's a moulded rubber strain relief at both ends. It's designed to prevent kinking and breaking at the point where the cable meets the connector.
