About this product longer description

These square electrode pads from TensCare measure 50×50 mm and are intended for use with TENS, EMS and IFT devices. The connection is via a pigtail: the cable is attached to the pad and ends in a 2 mm round pin connector. Because the pad itself isn't pulled on directly, the electrode stays in place more easily.

The 50×50 mm size is suitable for areas such as the lower back, shoulders, thigh or the area around the knee. The pad is large enough to spread the stimulus while still being targeted enough to keep working on one area. TensCare lists applications including back pain, neck pain, knee pain, arthritis, sciatica and nerve pain.

You stick the pads onto clean, dry skin without cream or oil, around the painful area or on the muscle you want to stimulate. Then you connect the pin connector to your device. TENS delivers small electrical impulses that can dampen pain signals, EMS focuses on muscle activation and IFT uses crossing currents for deeper stimulation, depending on your device.

The pads are hypoallergenic and latex-free and are reusable up to 30 times. It's a Class I medical device with CE marking, which complies with the Medical Device Regulation 2017/745.

Which devices do these pads fit?

How often can I reuse them?

The pads are reusable up to about 30 times. After use, put them back on the protective film and store them sealed and away from heat, so the gel doesn't dry out. If the adhesive layer gets dirty, you can sometimes clean it carefully with a few drops of water and leave it to air dry.

How do I apply the pads?

Stick them on clean, dry skin without cream or oil, around the painful area or on the muscle you want to stimulate. Then connect the 2 mm pin connector to your device. Reposition the pads gently until the sensation feels comfortable and even, and after use remove them carefully from the edge.

What should I bear in mind regarding safety?

Only use the pads on intact, dry skin and stop if your skin becomes very red or feels painful. Don't place electrodes on the front of the neck or on damaged skin. Do you have a pacemaker or ICD, are you pregnant or do you have epilepsy? Then talk to a doctor or practitioner first. Not suitable for children under 14.
