Reuzel's Clay Matte pomade is made for a matte look with medium hold. The manufacturer states shine 1/10 and hold 6/10: your hair gets grip and shape without any shine. The hold comes from natural clay, which means the product mainly brings texture and separation to your hair.
You apply one to two knuckles' worth of pomade, spread it over your palms and work it through towel-dried or dry hair. Start at the crown and work forward, from the scalp to the ends. On drier areas you can use a bit extra. If you want more grip, apply a new layer over the previous one: the hold is buildable.
The formula contains quinoa for elasticity and care, aloe vera for moisture and strength, and vitamin E as an antioxidant. The pomade also contains kaolin (clay) and has a subtle vanilla-mint scent. The product is suitable for all hair types and is water-soluble, so it rinses out with water.
Reuzel was founded by the barbers of Schorem in Rotterdam, who create classic looks with a modern touch and started developing their own styling products.
