The AftaClear mouth gel from GUM is intended for local application on mouth ulcers, burn blisters, irritation from dentures or braces and other small wounds in the mouth. The gel is applied directly to the affected spot and provides pain relief there that lasts 2 to 4 hours. It's also intended to speed up healing.
The formula contains 0.3% sodium hyaluronate and is alcohol-free. This means the gel doesn't sting or burn when applied, which especially matters on a spot that's already sensitive. It contains no hydrogen peroxide and no fluoride either.
The product is suitable for adults and for children from 2 years or 10 kilos. It is a class IIa medical device under the Medical Device Regulation 2017/745. The packaging contains 10 ml and the text on the packaging is in English. Once opened, the gel keeps for 6 months.
