About this product longer description
The Arctic MX-6 is a thermal paste that you apply to the contact surface between a chip and its cooler. That layer fills the microscopically small irregularities between the two surfaces, so heat from the chip can be carried away to the heatsink.
The paste has a thermal conductivity of 8.5 W/m·K. That value indicates how well the material conducts heat: the higher the number, the better the paste transports heat from the chip to the cooler.
You can use the paste on a CPU, a GPU or another PCH/chipset, always in combination with a heatsink. According to Arctic, the paste is easy to apply. The contents are 4 grams and the paste is grey in colour. The paste contains no hazardous substances or mixtures.
