The Alecto SD1010 smoke detector monitors your home day and night with a photoelectric sensor that is particularly effective for slow smouldering fires. The 85 dB alarm is powerful enough to warn you through closed doors and while you sleep.
The built-in lithium battery has a lifespan of 10 years, meaning you don't have to replace batteries for the entire duration of use. The detector gives a timely signal when the battery is running low.
The test button allows you to easily check its operation, while the hush function temporarily mutes unwanted alarms, for example, from cooking fumes. The detector complies with the European standard EN14604:2005/AC:2008 for smoke detectors.
Installation is easy with the included mounting plate, screws, and plugs. Magnetic mounting is also possible with optional accessories such as the Alecto MK-2.

How often should I test the smoke detector?
Test the smoke detector monthly by briefly pressing the test button. You will then hear the alarm and know that the detector is working correctly. This only takes a few seconds.
Can I replace the battery when it's empty?
No, the lithium battery is built-in and not replaceable. After 10 years, you replace the entire smoke detector. The detector will give a timely warning when the battery is almost empty.
What should I do in case of a false alarm during cooking?
Use the hush function by pressing the test button. The alarm will be temporarily muted, and the detector will automatically reset for actual smoke detection afterwards.
At what height should I mount the smoke detector?
Mount the smoke detector on the ceiling, at least 50 cm away from walls and obstacles. Avoid locations near kitchen appliances, bathrooms, or directly above radiators where steam or hot air can cause false alarms.
