Wired internet via USB-C. The Ugreen CM648 connects a USB-C port to an RJ45 network cable, for devices without their own LAN port. The adapter supports speeds up to 2.5 Gb/s and works without drivers.
About this product longer description
More and more laptops and tablets no longer have a network port. This ethernet adapter from Ugreen bridges that gap: a USB-C plug on one end, an RJ45 port on the other into which you click a regular network cable. That way you can still make a wired connection to your local network.
The adapter supports data transfer up to 2.5 Gb/s. That makes it suitable for online meetings, streaming HD films and gaming on online servers, where a stable connection often matters more than the convenience of wifi.
The connector housing is made of aluminium and the cable is reinforced, which makes the adapter more resistant to mechanical damage during transport. No installation is needed: thanks to plug and play, the CM648 is ready to use straight out of the box, without extra drivers. Windows is listed as the operating system.

Frequently asked questions 4 questions
Do I need to install drivers?
No. The CM648 works plug and play and is ready to use straight out of the box. You connect it to a USB-C port and plug the network cable into the RJ45 port.
What speed does this adapter reach?
The adapter supports data transfer up to 2.5 Gb/s. The speed you actually achieve also depends on your internet subscription, router or switch and the network cable used.
Does this work on a laptop without a network port?
Yes, that is what the adapter is for. For laptops, tablets and computers without a LAN port, the CM648 still makes a wired connection to the local network possible via the USB-C port.
What is the adapter made of?
The connector housing is made of aluminium and the cable is reinforced. That combination is aimed at resisting mechanical damage, for example when the adapter travels in a bag or laptop sleeve.
