About this product longer description

The Ugreen CM556 is a video cable with a USB-C connector on one end and a DisplayPort connector on the other. With it, you connect a device with a USB-C output to a monitor or other screen with a DisplayPort input.

This is a cable, not an adapter or converter: the connection runs in one piece from connector to connector, without a separate part that could come loose. The cable is 1 metre long and grey.

Ugreen labels the connectors as DisplayPort 8K. The resolution you actually get in practice depends on what your source device and your screen support. One cable is supplied per package. The product carries a visible CE marking.

How long is this cable?

The cable is 1 metre long. If your source device is further from your screen, this won't bridge that distance.

What does the 8K designation mean?

Ugreen specifies the DisplayPort connectors of this CM556 as 8K. The resolution you actually get also depends on your source device and your screen.

Can I use this to connect a screen with an HDMI input?

No. This cable ends in a DisplayPort connector, so your screen needs a DisplayPort input.
