A start capacitor supports the start-up of a single-phase motor. During start-up, the capacitor briefly supplies extra current to the motor so that it gets going. This is particularly important when the motor has to start under load.
This Rebel capacitor has a capacitance of 20 µF and is rated for 450 V. It is suitable for a range of single-phase motors, for example in pumps and fans. After start-up, the capacitor does not take over permanently: the support is intended for the start-up phase.
The housing is plastic, white and round, with a diameter of 4.1 cm and a height of 6.7 cm. The capacitor has 10 cm connecting leads with clear connection points. The IP rating is IP20, which means the capacitor is protected against touch but not against moisture or water.
