Parker piston converter - for fountain pen - chrome-plated trim

A converter takes the place of an ink cartridge in your fountain pen. Instead of inserting a ready-made cartridge, you use this converter to draw up ink from an ink bottle. You do this with a twisting motion: you turn the mechanism open and closed and the ink is drawn quickly and cleanly from the bottle.

You can also use the same converter the other way round. If you want to switch to a different ink colour or flush your pen, you use it to remove the old ink from your fountain pen's filling system.

The converter holds half a standard-length ink cartridge. The body is made of plastic and finished with a chrome-plated rim. Parker states that only original Parker Quink inks and refills should be used with Parker writing instruments, as they are designed for them.
