Drying without preservatives retains the taste, smell and nutrients of fruit, vegetables, herbs or mushrooms for longer. This food dehydrator from Esperanza has 4 trays and 8 programmes, with a temperature adjustable from 35 to 70 °C.
About this product longer description
Drying is one of the simplest ways to preserve food. By slowly removing the moisture, the taste and smell are retained, along with the nutrients. No preservatives or other artificial additives are needed, so you can keep enjoying fruit, vegetables or mushrooms all year round.
The Esperanza EKD003 works with 4 trays, so you can dry several types at once. There are 8 programmes and the temperature is adjustable between 35 and 70 °C: a lower setting for delicate products like herbs, a higher setting for firmer pieces. The controls are manual and an indicator light shows that the appliance is running.
The power rating is 250 W and the housing is made of plastic, BPA-free. A non-slip base keeps the appliance in place and the automatic shut-off makes sure it stops itself. The cord is 0.75 metres long.
