For a loose phone screen, use B7000 or T8000: an all-purpose glue with a fine applicator tip, made for repairs to smartphones and tablets. The glue cures cold, is dry within a few minutes and stays water-resistant afterwards. Start with the B7000 glue, set of 2 tubes of 15 ml; that covers by far most repairs.

Why an all-purpose glue with a precision tip, and not just any glue?
A phone screen is held in place by a narrow edge around the housing, a gap of a few tenths of a millimetre. You want to be able to apply the glue there in a controlled way without anything running onto the visible glass or into the speaker, and you want the seam to be invisible after drying. Superglue and regular mounting glue aren't made for that: one can't be dosed into such a gap in a controlled way, the other is too thick. B7000 and T8000 can. They are all-purpose glues that dry transparent (B7000) or semi-transparent (T8000), cure cold without a heat source or lamp, and that you apply precisely into the edge with a precision tip or a very thin nozzle.
How much glue, and how do you apply it?
You only need a small amount of glue: a thin, unbroken line along the edge, no blobs. Too much glue gets pressed inwards when you press it down and contaminates the glass or the speaker.
- Clean the edge and remove any grease, so the glue can grip.
- Use the precision tip to apply a thin bead along the entire edge of the screen or the part.
- Press everything down evenly, not just in the middle, and secure it lightly with some tape.
- Let it dry: the stated drying time is 6 minutes for B7000 and 4 minutes for T8000. The glue cures cold, so you don't need a heat source or lamp.
Work in a well-ventilated room and preferably wear gloves: both B7000 and T8000 are a highly flammable liquid (hazard statement H225). Keep the tube out of the reach of children.

B7000 or T8000: which do you choose?
Both are all-purpose glues that work well for phone repairs; the adhesion is similar. The difference lies in the applicator tip, the drying time and the size. T8000 has a very thin nozzle with a small pin in the cap that keeps the opening clear, nice for very fine and narrow work. B7000 has a precision tip and comes as a set of two tubes, handy for a single repair. If you're not sure, start with B7000. In our guide B7000 or T8000 glue: which do you choose? the differences are set out side by side.

Which size: the set of 15 ml or a large tube?
For a loose screen or a single repair, the B7000 set of 2 tubes of 15 ml is more than enough: you only apply a thin line per job, so one tube lasts a long time and you'll have a spare straight away. If you repair things more often and want a large tube, choose the T8000 glue of 110 ml; that's in stock. The large tube of B7000 at 110 ml is temporarily out of stock at the moment, with new stock on the way.
Protect the screen after the repair
A glued screen is only as strong as the next drop allows. So put a glass over it: in our collection screen protectors you'll find a matching glass that absorbs the impact before the screen does. A sturdy case helps just as well against knocks on the corners; take a look in our phone cases.
How long does the glue need to dry?
The stated drying time is 6 minutes for B7000 and 4 minutes for T8000. The glue cures cold, so you don't need a heat source or uv lamp. After that, leave the device alone for a while before using it again.
Is the glue water-resistant?
Yes. Both B7000 and T8000 are water-resistant after curing, which means a screen glued neatly all the way round holds up better against moisture than a loose edge. It doesn't make a device officially waterproof; for that you need the original seals.
Does it also work on a glass back?
Yes. You glue a glass back the same way as a screen: a thin bead along the edge, press down evenly and let it dry. The product data for the T8000 explicitly lists glass as a suitable material, so for a glass job that's the logical choice; B7000 is an all-purpose glue you can also use for this.
